Paper Differences
Platine
Platine is a rich glossy paper that presents vivid colors and a smooth feel. It is slightly more prone to finger smudges than the etching option but is still very durable. Framing without glass works well with platine as the paper would catch extra reflections from glass. If you’re looking for glossy, smooth, and bright, platine is the paper for you.
Etching*
Museum etching is my go to option for prints. It is a heavier and slightly textured paper that is more durable while still providing fantastic colors and feel. There is minimal glare from light sources so I would recommend this paper if you are planning on framing with glass. This paper also works particularly well with minimalist photos and photos that have a more “painterly” feel to them.
